Ack its all changed!
haha – I know what you mean Abe! I started using Airstory back in Sept. 2017 and fell in love with the UI and then *bam* they changed it on us! No fear though, if I can get through the changes so can you. Now I actually find it better without the distraction from the card library open all the time. I don’t know about you but when I’m in the writing zone I just wanna write and having that card library open all the time was somewhat distracting.
Some tips that I’ve found useful:
- as soon as you open the project you’ll be working on click on the airstory icon in the upper left corner, this way your cards will always be accessible (you can close it to be clicking on the icon again)
- sometimes the blue circle doesn’t appear on the writing surface right away so i double click in the document to see the blue circle (this gives you the editing menu to add tables and bullets etc)
- the tabs have been moved to the top of the document, just below the ‘revert to previous version’ feature (aka. the alien – which is GREAT when you want to get back to a previous version of your document)
- the tabs menu (the stacked menu on the left) will give you the word count of each tab
I hope these tips help – the changes are shocking at first but only b/c the old version didn’t suck either ; )
